Wishing for Armageddon is less great for MA Ermor, but Twiceborn on all the important mages lowers its impact. However, the tactic is excellent for encouraging everyone to attack Ermor rather than hanging back and letting others do the work. If you declare war on everyone, your war efforts should affect everyone.

To Rlyeh: I don't know what you were trying to accomplish with that attack on Ermor. Even if we hadn't steam rollered you, that force was way too small to have actually torn down the wall of Ermor's castle. Conversely, our army is not.

Wait, this is MA Ermor?

How the hell did he get that much undead?!

MA Ermor's late game production of undead is actually bigger than LA's in a lot of ways.

MA Ermor can buy reanimators for money. Also every time they get a priest they get more reanimators. And they have a lot of astral casters which in the late game can pop out a ridiculous amount of Telestic Animates in play. LA Ermor pays 16 Death Gems for a Bishop. Which is pretty damn impressive in the early game. And he starts with a huge death income - 15 gems! But in the late game, that 15 gems isn't a big part of their total income and the fact that MA Ermor is a bit better at site searching gives them something of an edge. But the real deal is that Telestic Animates do just as much reanimation as a Bishop of Eldergate and cost 5 fucking pearls.

This is why in the late game, Ermor had 1500+ soldiers sitting in their castle. Which is why Rleyh's 66 man invasion force was totally pointless. Even if it hadn't run into a Pangaean force coming the other way, Ermor still had over 200 points of castle defense in there and could hold out forever. Mindless Undead are worth 1/10th castle defense, but when they outnumber you nearly thirty to one, that isn't much of a consolation.

Mmmm, I forgot that demon lords don't get to be Heroes. Beur is going to have to be satisfied with his 500 kills this turn.

If you really want him to get a special ability from his time on the hall of fame, get him killed, then bring him back as a divine mummy. The divine mummy isn't unique, so he can get a special ability. For bonus points, the Goat Sun is then no longer on the table so you can get him back by casting the Demon Lord spell again.

Also: turn in.

Just realized that there's a new turn out. I might not be able to get it turned in right away, there's a couple exams I have to deal with.

Turn in. And how nice and short my turns seem to be getting. I could get used to this.

Thanks.

Sorry about the delay; yes, your turn is in. We're waiting on R'lyeh and Mictlan.

In.

Sorry for the lateness. Option paralysis is starting to set in since I have no info on my enemy and we are in the sci-fi future.

Yeah, I'm going to again ask for a sub. I'm simply burned out on the micromanagement and incredibly high upkeep by this point.

If nobody else steps up, I suppose I could probably have fun suiciding 2 factions against each other. Then again, that would present the problem of an odd number of world powers again.

Just AI him. I mean, Frank and I have accidentally killed off entire armies of his with no losses while we were doing other things. It's not like he is fielding vast late-game armies that will make a big difference in the war vs Ermor.

I'll want at least one other player to second that motion before I do it.

Gnarly. In that case, I'll stick with exploding Ermor. I strongly hope this game will go on at least 2 more turns.

I have no idea. In the meantime, I have grown tired of waiting for the opportune moment to post this:

Oops, sorry, I missed AH's offer. If he'll PM me an email, I'll send him R'lyeh's turn file.

I don't know whether I'll be able to make a good showing of myself, but I will at least endeavor to make things interesting.
